For those traveling to Denver this April, there’s no shortage of attractions as a packed calendar has some wondering how to fit it all in. Sure, you could try to wing it, but with hundreds of thousands of visitors expected to descend on Denver, why not leave it to the experts? World Cannabis Week — along with preferred travel partner My 420 Tours — have curated the perfect 4/20 week celebration called Immersion 420. Here, we break it down day by day:
FRIDAY, APRIL 17TH
A look inside one of the WCW shuttles.
Starting at 10:00AM, a shuttle service runs WCW participants out to see over 15 different dispensaries. These 420 Party Busses run every 10 minutes, are smoking friendly and are one of the only legal places to consume in the city. Have the Immersion 420 pass? You’ll be seeing a live cultivation facility on one of famous grow tours, as thousands of plants are within arms reach, with the master growers responsible for them available for questions. SATURDAY, APRIL 18TH
Hop back on the shuttles and check out the rest of the dispensaries, or visit day one of Immersion 420 for a variety of workshops. There is nothing like learning with a hands on experience using the real tools, touching real cannabis product and talking to the best experts in the industry. Hosted at the Crowne Plaza, the pros from a top pot school show you the ropes. Then, cruise over to the 420 Rally where you’re a VIP at the largest outdoor gathering of cannabis enthusiasts that features food, art, and entertainment that has included Wyclef Jean, B.o.B., and more in the past. End the night at World Cannabis Week’s exclusive after party.
SUNDAY, APRIL 19TH
Day 2 of workshops rolls on with classes and more 420 Rally, or get on a complimentary shuttle and visit the High Times Cannabis Cup. Billed as the most important annual event in the world of weed, there the strongest marijuana in the state goes head to head to see who can win an elusive Cannabis Cup. Live glass blowing, industry experts, and just about any business related to pot are all packed into the Denver Mart, which also features a 21+ smoking lounge for those visiting from out of state.
MONDAY, APRIL 20th
The Marijuana Investor Summit is included in Immersion 420.
Work hard or play hard, the big day has it all. Looking to invest in a marijuana business or create the next great cannabis product? Start your 4/20 off at the Marijuana Investor Summit (MIS), the biggest collection of entrepreneurs and qualified investors ever assembled. Featuring keynote speaker Kevin Harrington, one of the original “sharks” from Shark Tank, over 50 professionals will be heading up the boot camp portion of MIS. Featured events include “MJ 101: Mapping the Market; Overview and Sectors”, “Risk Management, Best Practices, & Due Diligence” and “The Value of Strategic Investors: Raising and Keeping the Right Kind of Money”.
Looking to kick back and celebrate for 4/20? Make your way to “420 in the Streets” outside of Cervantes, a legendary Denver venue that’s throwing the best block party the city has ever seen. With Cypress Hill and Method Man and Redman in charge of the shenanigans, you know it’s going to be a blast. Openers include new marijuana mainstay Collie Buddz as well as fresh faces like Flatbush Zombies and Dizzy Wright.
TUESDAY, APRIL 21st
Here’s where the real business gets done. Starting at 7:30 with the MIS breakfast, panels and breakout sessions run until 4:30, with a quick break until 5 when everyone gets together for a little networking. There’s also CannaPitch Denver, a faux-Shark Tank for marijuana businesses that will pitch their ideas in the hopes of grabbing up to a million dollar investment. Cruise back to the private smoking lounge to indulge, then enjoy a much less crowded Denver downtown.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22nd
The final day of MIS wraps up with panels designed to help you attract funds to your new business, as well as updates on key legislation coming down the pipes and a look at the top organizations working to further legalization. For those with an idea to get off the ground, it’s the highlight of a packed World Cannabis Week.
